		Welcome to Fourstones Fourstones sits on the edge of the wide open spaces of Burnmoor, overlooking The Great Stone, high above the traditional Yorkshire market town of Bentham. It is a haven for naturalists, with lapwings and curlews nesting in the moorland spring landscape. The Great Stone of Fourstones stands on the boundary where Lancashire meets Yorkshire. This large boulder is a relic of the Ice Age and is a distinctive feature of the landscape, with spectacular views over the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland. Beautifully situated in the Forest of Bowland, this is the perfect rural location for exploring stunning open countryside and for enjoying fine walks, cycle rides and magnificent scenic motoring, with easy access to the M6, A65 and local rail connections.
Just to the north lies the Yorkshire Dales National Park with its spectacular limestone uplands and famous Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent. The natural beauty of the Lake District is less than an hour's drive away with spectacular lakes and mountains. With its rich and diverse landscape, this is an adventure playground for those who enjoy the great outdoors. The historic Forest of Bowland, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, stretches away to the south and offers a wide range of unspoilt landscapes and visitor facilities.
