Welcome to Fourstones
Fourstones sits on the edge of the wide open spaces of Burnmoor,
overlooking The Great Stone, high above the traditional Yorkshire
market town of Bentham. It is a haven for naturalists, with
lapwings and curlews nesting in the moorland spring landscape.
The Great Stone of Fourstones stands on the boundary where
Lancashire meets Yorkshire. This large boulder is a relic
of the Ice Age and is a distinctive feature of the landscape,
with spectacular views over the Lake District, the Yorkshire
Dales and the Forest of Bowland.
Beautifully situated in the Forest of Bowland, this is an ideal location for
exploring beautiful open countryside and for enjoying fine walks,
cycle rides and excursions by car, with easy access to the M6,
A65 and local rail connections.
