Higher Croasdale Farmhouse
Sleeps 6

New for 2007

In a stunning open panorama with beautiful uninterrupted views over Burnmoor, this newly converted farmhouse has been sympathetically and carefully renovated to provide well presented accommodation in this truly 'off the beaten track' location. Approached along one mile of maintained farm track, this is a haven for naturalists with lapwings and curlews nesting in this moorland landscape. The whole of the delightful Yorkshire Dales are well within reach; the Trough of Bowland with its far-reaching views to the west coast and also the Lake District provide alternative days out for exploring this unspoilt area. The prosperous small market town of Bentham is just 3½ miles away catering for everyday needs with banks, shops, pubs and tea rooms.

Accommodation
Ground floor: entrance hall. Kitchen. Spacious open plan 'L' shaped sitting room with dining area, featuring a wood burning stove, beamed ceiling, window seats and door to the garden. Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with wash hand basin and WC.
First floor: 2 double bedrooms, one with king size bed. Bathroom with bath, separate shower, wash hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Shops, Pubs and Railway Station
3½ miles.

Services
Facilities: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, automatic washer/dryer. Colour TV/DVD/video. Radio/CD player. Bed linen and towels included. Underfloor heating to the ground floor. Oil fired central heating, electricity and logs for wood burning stove included in the rent. Garden and garden furniture. Ample private parking. One small well-behaved pet by special arrangement with the owner.

Directions
From the centre of High Bentham, by the HSBC Bank and the Black Bull Inn, turn south on Station Road, signposted to Slaidburn. Follow this road for 1½ miles as it climbs upwards, crossing a cattle grid onto the moor. After crossing the cattle grid, continue towards Slaidburn for a further mile, passing the Great Stone tourist feature to the right, and ignoring two right turns signposted Wray/Lowgill. One mile from the cattle grid, the private Petersbottom Lane (signed Croasdale Grains) is the only gravel track to the left. Proceed with care along Petersbottom Lane, ignoring a left turn to the lunch hut, and crossing a cattle grid before reaching the three dwellings at Higher Croasdales. Please close any gates which you may have to open.

On Multimap the cottage is marked 'Crossdale Grains' at the end of the track to the right of the location marker.
